SUMMARY:
Medical Sonographers, also known as Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Ultrasound Technologists, are healthcare professionals who use ultrasound technology to produce images of internal body structures for diagnostic purposes. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

- Sonography Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Proficiency in ultrasound physics, equipment operation, and image optimization techniques.
- Imaging Modalities: Knowledge of various ultrasound imaging techniques, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal sonography. Familiarity with Doppler and color flow imaging for assessing blood flow.
