SUMMARY:

The Healthcare Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative functions of a healthcare organization. They report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and work closely with other members of the management team.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation of an organization’s administrative functions; this includes supervising office staff and overseeing all aspects of HR management
  • Ensuring that all policies are correctly implemented and adhered to by employees
  • Working with other members of senior management to develop strategies for increasing efficiency within the organization
  • Managing staff development plans; this involves conducting performance assessments on employees on an ongoing basis, providing feedback on their performance if necessary, and ensuring that they receive any training required in order to complete their tasks effectively
  • Assures that all employees are properly trained and perform their duties according to company policies
  • Schedules employees’ time according to company guidelines and needs
  • Evaluates employee performance against established standards on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations for improvement when necessary
  • Ensures that all patients are treated with dignity and respect at all times, regardless of whether or not they have insurance coverage
  • Oversees clinical care delivery by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provides leadership in developing strategies for improving efficiency while maintaining patient safety
  • Develops new programs or changes existing programs based on needs identified through analysis of data

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 Experience in healthcare administration, ideally in an acute care setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a knack for critical thinking
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
