SUMMARY:
The CMO is the Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for managing the overall marketing strategy and overseeing all aspects of marketing. The CMO needs to be aware of all the company’s products, services and competitors, as well as how best to reach customers through different mediums. They need to be able to create a cohesive message that conveys the company’s core values while also appealing to consumers.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
- Developing and executing the marketing plan, including creating and managing budgets, developing strategies, and overseeing campaigns.
- Working with business leaders to determine what kind of marketing is needed to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Working with sales, PR, customer service, and other departments to ensure that their efforts are aligned with the overall marketing plan.
- Understanding the company’s strategy and helping to implement it by developing, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns that are aligned with the business goals.
- Managing all aspects of marketing, including branding and communications, advertising and promotions, public relations (PR), sales promotion, direct marketing, events and trade shows.
- Creating a vision for the organization’s future and translating that vision into actionable strategies that support both short-term goals as well as long-term objectives.
- Identifying new opportunities for growth through research conducted internally or externally by collaborating with other departments such as research & development (R&D) or finance.
- Oversees the development of an integrated marketing communications plan that includes both short-term and long-term objectives, strategies and tactics that support business goals throughout the product lifecycle (introduction/launch through maturity).
- Ensures that all marketing communications materials are consistent with company image and reflect company values while meeting quality standards established by the company or its suppliers/vendors; reviews all such materials before they are distributed or published internally or externally; works closely with other departments such as manufacturing quality assurance to ensure that all products meet company standards; ensures compliance with applicable codes/standards (e.g., government regulations).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role at a well-known company.
- Experience in digital marketing (social media, SEO/SEM).
- Strong knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
