SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the primary leader of all financial activities within the organization. The CFO develops financial strategies and manages the entire budgeting process, including forecasting, planning, and analysis. The CFO also oversees all accounting operations, including financial reporting. The CFO makes recommendations regarding investments in technology and human resources to improve efficiency and profitability. Instructs staff on proper accounting practices and monitors compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to financial operations. Acts as a liaison between senior management and external auditors.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy, including the development of short-term and long-term plans, budgets, forecasts and forecasts for growth.
  • Lead the management team in setting and achieving strategic goals for the organization’s financial performance.
  • Ensure that the organization has adequate working capital to support its business plan and operations by managing credit facilities and raising funds from investors or lenders as needed.
  • Provide leadership in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external stakeholders such as lenders, investors, auditors, regulators and suppliers.
  • Managing all aspects of financial planning, investments and risk management for their company.
  • Creating budgets and forecasting revenue and expenses for their company.
  • Analyzing financial data and making recommendations for improvement based on this analysis.
  • Preparing forecasts for sales growth, profit margins and cash flow projections based on historical data as well as current market conditions so that investors can make informed decisions about whether they want to invest in your company or not.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5 years of experience working as a CFO
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
  • Extensive experience in business management and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting processes, including the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with investors and other stakeholders, as well as an understanding of their needs.
  • Understanding of business operations or experience operating at a high level in a company or organization.
