As an Accounting Specialist, your primary responsibility is to support various accounting functions within an organization. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, adjusting entries, and maintaining supporting documentation. Ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and schedules. Compile and analyze financial data to support management reporting and decision-making processes.
  • Expense Management: Review and verify expense reports and invoices for accuracy, compliance, and proper approval. Process and record expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
