As a Treasurer, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the financial activities and risk management strategies of an organization. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

Identify opportunities to improve cash flow, such as optimizing collection and payment processes or implementing cash management solutions.
  • Investment Management: Develop and implement investment strategies to optimize the organization’s investment portfolio. Evaluate investment opportunities, analyze risk-return profiles, and recommend investment options. Monitor investment performance, assess market conditions, and adjust investment strategies as needed.
  • Banking and Treasury Operations: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions. Oversee treasury operations, including bank account management, cash pooling, wire transfers, and foreign exchange transactions. Monitor bank fees and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for banking services.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, credit risk, and liquidity risk. Develop and implement risk management strategies, such as hedging, insurance, or derivatives, to mitigate financial risks. Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements related to treasury activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CTP, CFA) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Treasurer or in a similar treasury role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, banking, and investment management.
  • Familiarity with financial risk management, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, credit risk, and liquidity risk.
  • Understanding of cash flow forecasting, cash management techniques, and liquidity management strategies.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws related to treasury activities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
