FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Conducting research on transportation systems in order to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifying and presenting solutions to problems, including recommendations for new or improved technologies, strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Developing tools for evaluating the effectiveness of transportation systems, such as models that predict traffic volume and congestion levels over time.
  • Creating reports that detail the findings from an analysis.
  • Evaluate and research transportation data to determine trends and forecast future demand for transportation services and systems.
  • Design and conduct research studies to determine current and future requirements for transportation services.
  • Analyze the impact of new technologies on transportation systems.
  • Identify trends in transportation services that can be used to develop new products or alter existing offerings to meet customer needs, such as developing new routes or modes of transport (e.g., ships).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Transportation Analyst job.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the SAP system.
  • Experience using SQL to query and manipulate data.
  • Experience using machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or another scripting language.
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on your own without being constantly supervised.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
