SUMMARY:
As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibility is to support the finance and accounting functions within an organization. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
- General Accounting: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, general ledger entries, and journal entries. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, including verifying accuracy, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely payments. Assist with accounts receivable activities, such as invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts to ensure accurate cash balances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing reconciliations, adjusting entries, and supporting schedules. Participate in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper approvals. Verify accuracy, allocate expenses, and reconcile accounts as necessary.
- Financial Analysis Support: Support financial analysis efforts by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial data. Assist in the preparation of financial models, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
