SUMMARY:

Finance Analysts are responsible for analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and preparing reports based on their findings. They work with a variety of companies, such as banks or investment firms, and may specialize in a particular industry or type of business. They generally have an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and have several years of experience working in the field.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Analyzing financial data in order to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating forecasts for future performance based on historical data or other information sources.
  • Making recommendations based on these analyses to senior management.
  • Analyze financial data and forecast future trends for the company
  • Review financial statements and reports to find errors or omissions
  • Evaluate financial performance against budgeted numbers.
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve profitability through cost-reduction measures or revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Prepare budgets based on input from management regarding business goals, revenues and expenses.
  • Estimate profitability, costs, and revenues for various projects
  • Create financial models to test assumptions about how changes in input variables will affect output variables.
  • Play an active role in the development of strategic plans for the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a financial analyst.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience using PivotTables and creating macros.
  • Able to use math, statistics, and other quantitative methods to collect and analyze data as part of your job duties.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others
