A Fashion Buyer is responsible for purchasing garments and accessories for a retail store. They work with designers and manufacturers to ensure that the store has a wide selection of products, and they must also keep up with trends in the industry.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
- Work with the design team to ensure that the right items are being ordered in the right quantities
- Ensure that your department is stocked with all the necessary materials and resources needed to complete projects
- Keep up with trends in fashion and making sure that your company is always on the forefront of new styles
- Provide feedback to designers and other employees on their ideas, as well as helping them develop their skills.
- Work closely with designers, manufacturers, and other team members to determine which items are most profitable and best suited for your target audience.
- Analyzing current trends and forecasting future fashion trends as well as predicting what types of clothing will sell best in the coming months and years.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that their goods meet the company’s standards in terms of quality, price, and delivery date
- Determine whether products will sell well in stores and estimate how many units should be ordered
REQUIREMENTS:
– Bachelor’s degree in fashion or marketing and 3+ years of experience.
– Must have experience in the fashion industry.
– Must be able to work with a team and lead meetings with vendors and designers.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Strong attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking, and strong problem-solving skills.
