HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE MY RESUME?
Your first level-setting draft would be sent in 3 business days excluding weekends, and holidays once you have sent in all of the requested information – old or current resume, completed IQ, – your project will be assigned to a writer. We can accept a total of 5 documents and no more than 10 pages max for the standard 2 page max resume. The intake information should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your writer will notify you if there are any delays with the first draft. The entire process typically takes 1 – 2 weeks. This may change depending upon your individual needs. We do have rush services available if needed for the same day, 24 hours, and 48 hours for the first level- setting draft.
HOW MANY REVISIONS DO YOU PROVIDE?
After you receive the first level-setting draft, you will have 2 opportunities to review and edit, and 7 days to complete the project. If you would like additional changes or updates in the future, we can provide those at a discounted rate (i.e. new job and want to update your resume).
WILL I BE ABLE TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE RESUME AFTER THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED?
Of course! The resume project includes a Word, PDF, and text version when the project is completed. You will be able to make changes to the Word document. Depending upon your Word settings that you have, you may need to “enable edits” to make changes.

We are able to offer our reasonable prices because we focus strictly on writing resumes and limit communications to email. We believe that by using email, our client’s needs and instructions are captured verbatim, and not diluted in any way. Our intake process is designed to obtain information from you to assist in crafting your resume. This includes using the most recent version of your resume and included Information Questionnaire (IQ) for any additional relevant information.

HOW DO I GET MY INFORMATION TO YOU?
Your information must be sent to us as a Word Document or PDF file. Please do not send information to us in a “shared’ drive such as Google shared drive or Dropbox since these dramatically slow down our processes.. All information sent must be sequential, logical, legible to read, otherwise, it could drastically delay your project assignment to a writer.
WHY/DO I NEED TO FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE IF EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED IN THE RESUME?
The Information Questionnaire (IQ) is designed to help you to think more in-depth about your past professional accountabilities, skills, core competencies, accomplishments, and more. It gives your writer a composite historical professional description of you and will assist in bringing focus to the story your resume needs to tell. Without the questionnaire, your new resume would simply be a rewrite of the existing document. Your writer would not know your targeted position of interest, nor what types of “Keywords” to incorporate into your new resume to make it more attractive to ATS. This is why we ask for your Targeted position of interest, and a sample URL of a position you may have seen during your job search on the internet. It also lets your writer know why you feel you are qualified for the position. Think of this, would the possibility of securing your desired position and desired salary be worth an investment of 45 minutes to an hour of your time? However, we can proceed without a completed questionnaire. You just need to clearly authorize us to proceed without the IQ.
I DO SO MANY THINGS AT WORK, CAN’T YOU WORK WITH THE EXISTING CONTENT OF MY RESUME?
You would want a resume that is sharp and focused to go after a particular position. You know your capabilities best, better than any resume writer could. We need you to focus and tell us as precisely as possible who you are and what you are doing/have done currently and in the past. This will assist your writer in showcasing your abilities in the best possible light. Imagine you are at an interview and are asked the question “What do you do?”, would you just say “I do so many things” and not elaborate?
I HAVE BEEN AT MY ROLE FOR A WHILE BUT NOT SURE OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Accomplishments are sometimes difficult to remember; however, a good resume is a resume that is achievement or accomplishment based. Accomplishments should be quantifiable either by numbers, percentages, or improvements. They can be projects worked on, accolades received, or initiatives that were taken. To the extent possible, supply those if you can.
SHOULD I MENTION OTHER POSITIONS THAT ARE OUTSIDE OF MY RELEVANT EXPERIENCE?
Yes; please include them. You want to ensure there are no gaps in your employment to the extent possible. Even though it may not be relevant to the position of interest, it does show continuity and progression.
I HEARD THAT A ONE-PAGE RESUME REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE IS GOOD TO HAVE.
One-page resumes are typically for inexperienced professionals, or those just beginning their professional careers. Experienced professionals may also use a one-page resume if they so desire so long as all their information fits within the page and convey enough full information and “white space” to allow the reader to grasp a holistic view of the portrayed career and experiences. Please note that experienced hiring managers and recruiters will not discount the resume if it is two pages instead of one page. Typically, professionals with over 5 years’ experience can use two-page resumes. Avoid a three-page resume if at all possible.
I FOUND THESE TEMPLATES ONLINE THAT I LIKE WITH GRAPHICS, LOGOS, AND SOME HAVE ROOM FOR A PICTURE.
These are graphic resumes. While a graphic resume can be aesthetically pleasing; these have serious drawbacks. This is from our direct experience as hiring managers, recruiters and implementing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS – both large and small enterprises). Graphic resumes are not ATS friendly. These are next to impossible to parse into an ATS to allow for searches for your talent and skills. From the hiring manager/recruiter perspective, it is difficult to find your talents and skills quickly and are distracted with the graphics on the document. As your career progresses, especially if you do not have a program used to create it they are extremely difficult to edit. As a result, we do not create graphic resumes.
WHAT TYPE OF INTERVIEW GUARANTEE DO YOU PROVIDE?
If you do not receive an interview request within 60 days of receiving your final customized resume from us, we will rewrite your resume at no additional charge. We take resume writing and your success seriously, however, while creating a winning resume is an important first step, there are other critical steps that must be taken personally by you to facilitate attracting and receiving interviews from potential employers.
These steps include:
- Because one resume does not fit every job, even if they are somewhat similar, you must provide a sample job description or posting for a job you are interested in and select a specific title so that your resume will be crafted specifically for those types of positions and title.
- Sending your resume to a minimum of 15 advertised positions that match your previously stated job target listed on your Information Questionnaire.
- You must demonstrate that you meet all the advertised qualification of the jobs you applied to.
- You must notify us in writing within 65 days of receiving the final copy of your resume.
- Please include at least 5 examples of jobs that you had applied to, including the job posting, what date you applied and how you applied to the job. This will assist us in our analysis.
- If you modified the resume after the final was sent, please send this to us. Please send us any quantifiable feedback you may have received about your resume, including who provided such feedback (no names needed, just their qualification or expertise).
- This guarantee is limited to one resume rewrite on select resume packages purchased via our website and excludes cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, or any other products that we offer.
WILL MY NEW RESUME GET ME A NEW JOB, IF NOT DO YOU OFFER A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE?
No resume is guaranteed to get you a job, or even get you an interview unless the writer is also the hiring manager. A company’s goal is to hire the best-qualified candidate, and as a candidate, you must pass several stages each with its “best-qualified candidate” criteria. A candidate’s ability to successfully secure even an interview is dependent on their qualifications as measured against all the applicants who applied for the position. This includes both external and internal applicants. Since we are not able to control or influence any of those variables, we cannot issue a money-back guarantee.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE COMPLETED RESUME? CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
It depends on the stage of the process you are at the time. ClearPointHCO offers a full money-back guarantee for all purchases made on our website within five (5) days of your purchase subject to other listed criteria. Since all of our products are services comprised of intellectual property(s) and are intangible rather than a physical or tangible property(s), ClearPointHCO is unable to offer a full refund after the expiration of the five (5) day refund period.
You are eligible for a full reimbursement within five (5) calendar days of your purchase so long as the initial draft has not been sent to you or completed. This includes Resumes, Cover Letters, and LinkedIn Profile Optimization. If you purchased a different service such as Interview Preparation Session, Career Coaching GPS, or LinkedIn Strategy Session, you must cancel and request a refund no later than twenty-four (24) hours (not including weekends/holidays) prior to the scheduled event to be eligible for a refund. While we will not be able to issue a refund after an initial draft has been sent or completed, or after the five (5) day expiration period, we will however, work with you to correct any issues you may have regarding your project.
All purchases must be completed within six (6) months from the date of purchase, otherwise the package is considered expired. If you received a discount for the service, the order must be initiated and all requested accompanying documents submitted to ClearPointHCO within 90 days of purchase, if not, the package is considered null and void.
If you purchased through a third-party partner, their refund process rules will apply, and you would need to contact them. However, if a draft or service has been completed, then a refund is no longer available.
