- Align strategies with organizational goals, considering cost, quality, and supplier capabilities.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the assigned commodity category.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to optimize cost savings and ensure quality.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market analysis for assigned commodities, including monitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies.
- Stay informed about changes in the global market that may impact commodity prices.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks related to the supply chain for assigned commodities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions.
- Cost Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost savings.
- Collaborate with suppliers to implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased items meet specified quality standards.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Contract Management:
- Draft and manage supplier contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs) and terms of service.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to understand requirements and specifications.
- Ensure alignment between procurement activities and organizational objectives.
- Technology Integration:
- Leverage procurement technologies and tools, such as e-sourcing platforms and supplier relationship management (SRM) systems.

- Continuous Improvement:

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Commodity Manager or in a similar strategic procurement role.
- In-depth knowledge of commodity markets, procurement strategies, and supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying abreast of industry trends.
