A Clinical Technician, also known as a Medical Laboratory Technician, is a healthcare professional responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  1. Sample Collection and Processing:

  2. Laboratory Testing:
    • Perform a variety of clinical tests, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology assays.

  3. Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Monitor and maintain the quality and accuracy of laboratory tests and equipment.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure reliable results.

  5. Laboratory Safety and Compliance:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent credential, as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience as a clinical technician or in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory practices, quality control measures, and regulatory compliance.
