FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
- Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure that beverages are mixed to the highest quality standards and presentation.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and engage with bar patrons, taking their drink orders and offering recommendations.
- Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service to enhance the guest experience.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Accurately prepare and serve beverages in a timely manner, following recipes and drink specifications.
- Handle cash or credit card payments and provide change and receipts as necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage bar inventory, including stocking and restocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Monitor and track beverage usage and reorder supplies as needed.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including regular cleaning of glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Follow proper sanitation and hygiene guidelines to ensure food and beverage safety.
- Menu Knowledge:
- Be well-versed in the bar’s drink menu, including ingredients, flavors, and pricing.
- Provide information and suggestions to patrons regarding drink options.
- Safety and Responsible Service:
- Adhere to responsible beverage service guidelines and legal drinking age requirements.
- Monitor patrons for signs of overconsumption and ensure their safety.
- Upselling and Promotion:
- Recommend special promotions, featured cocktails, and upsell options to increase sales.
- Promote special events, happy hours, and entertainment options.
- Cash Handling:
- Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain cash drawer accuracy and security.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bartending certification or equivalent training (preferred).
- Previous bartending experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Excellent knowledge of drink recipes and mixing techniques.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with bar equipment, tools, and glassware.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy kegs, and work late-night shifts.
- Creativity and the ability to create signature cocktails is a plus.
