An Aesthetic Nurse is a registered nurse with specialized training in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:
- Patient Consultation:
- Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their aesthetic goals and concerns.
- Assess the patient’s medical history and suitability for various aesthetic procedures.
- Injectable Treatments:
- Administer injectable treatments such as neurotoxins (e.g., Botox) and dermal fillers to reduce wrinkles and enhance facial contours.
- Ensure accurate and safe administration of cosmetic injectables.
- Laser and Light Therapies:
- Perform laser treatments, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, and other non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedures.
- Evaluate skin conditions and recommend appropriate laser therapies.
- Chemical Peels:
- Administer chemical peels to improve skin texture, reduce pigmentation, and address fine lines.
- Determine the appropriate type and strength of chemical peel based on patient needs.
- Microneedling:
- Conduct microneedling procedures to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture.
- Ensure proper technique and sterility during microneedling sessions.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients on the benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of aesthetic procedures.
- Provide post-treatment care instructions and address patient questions or concerns.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Certification in Aesthetic Nursing or relevant specialty (optional but preferred).
- Training and certification in the administration of cosmetic injectables.
- Familiarity with aesthetic procedures, skincare products, and dermatological treatments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
